Synopsis. Une mère passive, dévouée corps et âme à son mari et ses enfants. Enfermée dans un quotidien monotone, rythmé de tâches banales et répétitives, elle se fait aussi petite que possible. Un simple tour de magie tourne mal pendant l’anniversaire de son fils de quatre ans et c’est une avalanche de catastrophes absurdes et improbables qui s’abat sur la famille. Luttant pour sa survie et celle de ses enfants, elle devient peu à peu une femme indépendante et forte.
A passive mother who dedicates her life to her husband and children. Stuck in daily, repetitive, mundane chores, she has made herself as little as she possibly could. When a magic trick goes wrong at her 4-year-old son’s birthday party, an avalanche of coincidental absurdities befalls the family. As she tries to survive, she goes through a rough and absurd transformation.

Réalisateur et scénariste, Omar EL ZOHAIRY réalise en 2011 son premier court-métrage Breathe Out (Zafir), qui reçoit le Prix Spécial du Jury au festival de Dubai. Son second court-métrage, The Aftermath of the Inauguration of the Public Toilet at Kilometer 375, réalisé en 2014, est le premier film égyptien sélectionné à la Cinéfondation du Festival de Cannes. Son premier long métrage Feathers (2021) fait sa Première Mondiale au Festival de Cannes 2021 où il remporte le Grand Prix de la 60è Semaine de la Critique.
Omar EL ZOHAIRY is a film director and screenwriter. He’s first short film, Breathe Out (Zafir), premiered at the 8th Dubai International Film Festival and won the Muhr Special Jury Prize for Short Films. His second short film, The Aftermath of the Inauguration of the Public Toilet at Kilometre 375, was the first Egyptian film to be selected for the Cinéfondation competition at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival. His debut feature Feathers (2021) World Premiered at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival (France) and won the Grand Prize of the 60th Critics Week.
