At the gates of the Sahel stands the Maison du Migrant like a refuge for those on their way to or from Europe. Here, they face their own migration stories. What do we feel, what do we need, when our dreams have been buried in the sand or awaiting to come true?

Ousmane SAMASSEKOU is a Master 2 student in creative documentary, majoring in audio-visual production at the Gaston Berger University of Saint Louis (Senegal). In 2012, he directed his fourth short Made in USA, an auteur film. In 2015, he won the best script prize at Clap Ivoire Festival with Confession. Samassékou studied at the University of Bamako where he shot his debut highly political documentary Les héritiers de la colline.
