On the occasion of its 28th Edition, FESPACO launches the second edition of the YENNENGA Workshops
The YENNENGA Workshops aim to support films in post-production phase and to promote the immersion of aspiring cinema professionals.
The YENNENGA WORKSHOPS include:
- YENNENGA POST-PRODUCTION
A programme that promotes co-production partnerships and access to the international market for African films, offering an opportunity to present films in production phase to professionals and international distributors, in order to support them through concrete aid
- YENNENGA ACADEMY
A training program by FESPACO dedicated to young talents of African cinema through master classes around different cinemas professions: Production, Directing, Screenwriting, Distribution, Film Critic, and more…
This call includes:
- A call for film projects for YENNENGA POST-PRODUCTION
- A call for applications for YENNENGA ACADEMY

The call for film projects under the YENNENGA POST-PRODUCTION programme is open from 19 July to 30 September midnight for eight (8) directors or producers with films in production phase.
The YENNENGA POST-PRODUCTION programme will take place from 26 February to 02 March 2023 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, alongside the 28th Edition of FESPACO.
Winning films of the YENNENGA POST-PRODUCTION programme will receive several prizes in cash and kind (post-production grants) to help complete their projects.

The call for applications as part of the YENNENGA ACADEMY programme is open from 19 July to 30 September 2022 midnight for fifteen (15) young people aged 18 to 28 years old from all over the African continent.
The YENNENGA ACADEMY programme will take place from 25 February to 04 March 2023 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, alongside the 28th Edition of FESPACO.
