Synopsis

Moktar always said that when he will shut down his bar Bablinga, he will return to Burkina. This day has arrived, but he’s not really ready to leave. Despite himself, ghosts invite themselves to celebrate a last evening.

Fabien DAO was born in Paris. He’s the result of the encounter of a French teacher and a Burkinabe film director. After scientific studies, his taste for music and cinema drove him to the sound department of THE FEMIS. There he directs Le Caïman de Boromo. Two years later, he completed It rains on Ouaga, winner of the Canal + Award at Clermont-Ferrand International Film Festival. In 2019, he concluded his trilogy around his father with Bablinga, Best Drama winner at the 2020 Aspen ShortFest (USA).
